SUMMER BREAK
Kids don’t want to relax on their holiday – they want to play! So when there are playgrounds, a pool and lots of other activities for kids of all sizes at a campsite – it’s perfect. Here are some campsites with that little extra.
DAFTÖLAND IN BOHUSLÄN
Meet pirates at the amusement park Daftöland is a pirate- and marine-themed park at Daftö Resort outside of Strömstad. Spin in circles in Kruttunnan or feel your stomach drop on the roller coaster Skutan. Rides for all ages and preferences, and a pirate might appear around any corner. In addition to the amusement park Daftöland, Daftö Resort also has an exciting pool area, including a waterfall, slides and a pirate ship!
PITE HAVSBAD IN NORRBOTTEN
When the weather won’t cooperate Pite Havsbad is called the Riviera of the Nordics, but swimming in Bottenviken is not always appealing. Luckily, there are heated pools at the water park! Fly down slides or just sit in the jacuzzi or wading pool. Nimby's World has trampolines, climbing walls, ball pits and a special area for the littlest ones. There is also bowling, air hockey and adventure golf in the same building.
GUSTAVSVIK IN ÖREBRO
Jungle-themed water park Next to Gustavsvik’s campsite is Lost City, one of Sweden's most awesome adventure pools. Six slides of varying difficulty are tucked into a jungle and feature 3D technology, lasers and sound and lighting effects. Waterfalls and wave machines complete the family's jungle experience. Smaller children have their own quieter pool. In addition to the pool itself, Lost City also offers fun tasks, treasure hunts and puzzles.

URSAND RESORT IN VÄSTERGÖTLAND
Electric cars and a mini-zoo Ursand Resort next to Lake Vänern has three themed playgrounds. Kids drive electric cars on winding streets in Sommarland City and over obstacles in Trafikstaden, and there is an obstacle course in Wild City that goes over the zoo animals! Activities such as table tennis tournaments, sand castle competitions and treasure hunts are arranged several days a week during peak season – perfect for making new friends while on holiday.
LEKSAND STRAND IN DALARNA
Action: wet and dry Action-packed Leksand Strand lies on the shore of Lake Siljan. It has everything from classic rides to maxed-out water slides. And the littlest can ride Dala horses on the Dalakarusellen merry-goround. Another fun activity is Wipeout Siljan, a floating obstacle course with tricky passages and high jump towers. Or have a really fun water battle with Blaster Boats, a kind of bumper car in boat form that comes equipped with water sprayers.
