Gunnars Camping (Hemgården, Storsätern)
Gunnars Camping is a small, family-friendly and scenic campsite near the Grövelsjöfjällen mountains, ideal for guests seeking a stay close to nature, fishing, hiking and snowmobile trails. Here you stay close to the Grövelsjö mountains and fall asleep to the gentle sound of the Övre waterfall.
The campsite offers 15 electric pitches for caravans and motorhomes, as well as cabins and houses for rent. It is an excellent choice for those who want to enjoy the peaceful mountain environment while still having access to modern facilities and outdoor activities all year round.

2026-01-01 - 2026-12-31Storsätern is located about three minutes north of Idre. Follow the signs in Idre towards Grövelsjön. When you see the sign "Storsätern", just before the waterfall Nedre fallet, you are almost there. After approximately 200 metres, turn left into Hemgården’s entrance. Parking for guests staying in houses and cabins is straight ahead, and the entrance to Gunnars Camping is located on the right-hand side.
