Ristafallets Camping

Ristafallet Camping is beautifully located next to the Indalsälven river, right by the waterfall. This is a place for nature lovers. Enjoy the sound of rushing water, birdsong and easy access to activities that can either raise or lower your pulse – all included in your stay.

A wide range of activities all year round
Thanks to its location, the activities vary depending on the season. During winter, you can book guided tours to ice caves and a 20-metre-long limestone cave. The campsite is only 18 km from Åre, one of Sweden’s largest and most popular ski resorts, offering world-class alpine skiing with many lifts and slopes. Other winter activities include dog sledding, snowmobiling, ice climbing, ice fishing and snowshoe hiking – the list is long.

Summer is made for outdoor adventures
During the summer season, the activity options are just as varied. Located close to the E14 road, Ristafallet Camping is the perfect base for exploring the Jämtland region. Enjoy spectacular nature, fishing and excellent hiking opportunities. Visit local attractions, see moose and reindeer, try boogie surfing by the waterfall, explore historic churches or hike to the top of Åreskutan mountain. And don’t forget the beautiful, child-friendly swimming beaches nearby.

Facilities and waste management
The service building offers showers and toilets, as well as a shared kitchen with cooking facilities and dining area. There is also a dishwashing area. A laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer is available for rent at the reception. Next to the service building you will find facilities for grey water disposal, chemical toilet emptying, and fresh water refill for motorhomes and caravans.

Small and family-run – book early
Ristafallet Camping is a small and friendly campsite with only 25–30 pitches, as well as a limited number of cabins. Due to the limited capacity, we recommend booking well in advance.
