With the sea as its closest neighbor and just a short walk from the World Heritage Hanseatic city of Visby, Visby Strandby – Norderstrands Camping, the island’s only city campsite, offers the perfect base for exploring Gotland. From here, it’s just a short stroll to relaxing walks, refreshing swims, and Visby’s shopping and dining options.

Services and Facilities
During high season (weeks 26–32), the reception is open every day. During the same period, fresh bread and coffee are served at Restaurant Sjösidan.
The site’s service building offer access to a kitchen equipped with refrigerators, microwaves, and dishwashing areas both indoors and outdoors. There are also family bathrooms and accessible toilets with showers.
Location
From Visby Ferry Terminal
Follow the signs out of the harbour area and continue on Visbyleden towards road 149. Take the exit towards the hospital and drive down towards the sea. When you reach Snäckgärdsvägen, turn right and follow the road north along the seafront. After a short distance, you will find Visby Strandby on your right.
From Visby Airport
Leave the airport towards Visby and follow road 149 south. Take the exit towards Norderstrand/the hospital and continue down towards the sea. Continue south along Snäckgärdsvägen until you reach Visby Strandby.
Cabins
Visby Strandby offers non-smoking cabins in various sizes and standards. All cabins feature a kitchenette or kitchen, comfortable beds, and a veranda or patio facing the beach and the sea. The simpler cabins include bunk beds and basic cooking facilities, with showers and toilets available in nearby service buildings, while others have double beds, private bathrooms, and fully equipped kitchens.
The cabins are self-catering, meaning guests bring their own consumables, bed linen, and towels. Cleaning is not included in the price, and cabins must be left clean upon departure. Some cabins allow pets, and one of the "Sjöstugan" cabins is accessibility adapted. Parking is available close to the cabins, and Wi-Fi is free throughout the area.
