Welcome to Pajala Camping!
Pajala Camping is located south of Pajala, 1.7 km from the town center, right next to the Torneälven River, in beautiful natural surroundings.
The area includes a mixed forest and lovely green meadows toward the river - ideal for tent camping.
In the service building, there are shower and toilet facilities, with access to a free sauna for men and women; a laundry room; kitchen; and TV room.
Check-in, café, convenience store, kiosk, and breakfast (reservation required) are located in the reception building.
Activities and adventures
Mini golf, bicycles, boats, canoes, and kayaks for rent. Fishing is permitted in the waters adjacent to the campground. There are a lot of cloudberries, lingonberries, blueberries, and wild mushrooms in the area - just waiting to be picked.
In the winter, you can keep active with jig fishing or cross-country skiing. Experience the Midnight Sun from June 12 to July 3. During the winter months - October to March - you can see the aurora borealis, also known as the Northern Lights.
Sights worth seeing in Pajala
Visit revivalist preacher Lars Levi Laestadius's cottage or stop by the world's biggest sundial, with a diameter of 38 meters Anglers regularly visit the Kengisforsen rapids, 7 km from Pajala.
