It is the perfect getaway for you whether you want to relax or be active or even a bit of both.

There are several different accommodation options here, ranging from spacious camping pitches to modern cottages, just a stone's throw from the water’s edge.

There is adventure golf, playgrounds and canoe rental. During high season there is food service and guided activities for the whole family. 

Close to the city, close to the archipelago
Herrgårdscampingen is a stop for archipelago traffic, so from here it is quick and easy to get out to enjoy the stunning archipelago of Lake Vänern.

The city's attractions and amusements are also close by. There are nice walking and cycling routes from the campsite into the city centre, which is only 3 km away.

Just a stone's throw from the campsite, there is an indoor aqua park and playland. Also within walking distance along the scenic tourist route is the famous Picasso sculpture. There are also hiking trails and excellent fishing waters in the surrounding area.

Rich cultural history set in beautiful nature
The region surrounding Herrgårdscampingen has beautiful nature that has rich and exciting cultural history. Fun and interesting excursions and destinations are available. In addition to the most obvious - one of the world's largest Picasso sculptures – you will find the indoor aqua park Sannabadet and the playland ”Lek & Luft” just a stone's throw from the campsite.

There is the renouned hiking trail ”The Iron Trail”, a 30 kilometre long trail. On this trail you will literally walk through the fascinating cultural history and stunning nature of the region. Otherwise, a cruise on beautiful Lake Vänern is another must do. There are often themed cruises on board the ship Bojorten, such as music cruises and pirate trips. Alternatively, you can take an archipelago boat out to one of the many lovely islands.

Presteruds Herrgård (Presterud’s Manor)
Next to the campsite is the impressive Presteruds Herrgård (Presterud’s Manor). The Manor has large lovely party rooms, two suites for overnight stay and a large manor park complete with its own private jetty. The park's pergola is the perfect romantic setting for weddings and is popular for couples as a place to take their vows of eternal love to each other.
