In a converted farm with roots dating back to 1567, Kerstins Camping welcomes you to a scenic stay near Mellerud, right in the middle of scenic Dalsland. The campsite offers a peaceful courtyard environment with spacious, well-marked camping pitches on flat terrain, perfect for tents, caravans, and motorhomes. The camping’s holiday village offers both traditional camping cabins and winterized self-catering cabins, providing great comfort during both the pre- and post-season. For those who love camping but also want a bit more comfort, there's Glamping à la Kerstins, offering a more comfortable experience close to nature.

At Home at the campsite

At Kerstins Camping, you can just be and enjoy the tranquility of the relaxing surroundings. When you feel like being more active, there are several options — why not challenge each other at the mini-golf course, or take a pleasant walk or run along the nicely landscaped 2 km long exercise track in the nearby forest. In the spring, the trails are blanketed with blooming anemones, while late summer and autumn offer forests filled with berries and mushrooms. If you’d like to leave your motorhome/car for the day and explore the surroundings by bike, you can rent both adult and youth bicycles at the campsite. Helmets and child seats are, of course, available to borrow. Mellerud’s center and shopping mall are just under 2 km away.

Fishing and Swimming

Mellerud Municipality is an excellent destination for fishing enthusiasts, with plenty of great fishing areas. Combining a hiking trip with fishing is the perfect activity for many, whether you are a beginner or an experienced fisher. Although the campsite does not have its own lake, a refreshing swim and a relaxing beach are just a short distance away.

Active Relaxation – Excursions, Attractions, and Hiking

Historical sites, fairs, art exhibitions, and the Dalsland Canal — there’s plenty to discover in and around Mellerud and Lake Vänern, Sweden’s largest inland lake! Dalsland also offers fantastic hiking trails, whether you prefer shorter or longer hikes. Kroppefjäll, one of West Sweden’s largest wilderness areas, has a total of 100 km of well-marked hiking trails of varying difficulty levels.
