Gålö Havsbad

Gålö Havsbad is a tourist facility just 35 km south of Stockholm, situated at the heart of a nature reserve by Stockholm’s longest sandy beach.

At Gålö Havsbad there are several large grassy pitches within a couple of minutes’ walk to the sea, beach, cliffs, reception/minilivs shop, restaurant and minigolf. Most of the pitches have electricity.

If you don’t bring your own accommodation, there are cottages available to hire in different sizes and price ranges. Or, why not indulge in a little luxury and stay in one of the beautiful new glamping tents with pre-made beds, shower and WC, breakfast and a fantastic view of the sea.

At the campsite you’ll have access to three service buildings, a laundry room and a library where you can borrow or swap books as you fancy.

Much to do for young and old
The area is rich in wildlife and there are fantastic views out to sea from the rocks and the beach. You may even be lucky enough to see mouse and white-tailed eagles on the same day!

You can fish for Baltic herring and salmon trout from a rock or from one of our hire boats.

Savour good food and drink in our restaurant and enjoy our troubadour evenings. Our activity leaders ensure lots of fun for our younger guests in our Kids’ Club.
For young children, there’s a playground nearby and a large open space just outside the area if you want to play football, rounders or ‘kubb’. You can also hire pedal cars, pedal boats, rowing boats and mountain bikes.

Reception or our mini-convenience store are the places to come for fresh bread in the mornings and for advice and tips on making the most of your adventures in the archipelago and Stockholm.

For our four-legged friends, part of the beach has been sectioned off for dogs to go swimming, and in one of the service buildings there’s a dog shower.
